Automation 360 provides the capability of installing the Bot Agent on multiple devices such as laptops or desktops, virtual machines (VM), or temporary (non-persistent) virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) using software configuration manager tools or through a centralized image. These devices can be hosted in the customer's infrastructure or in the Cloud.

Prerequisites

In order to install the Bot Agent on multiple devices at the same time, ensure that you have downloaded a registration key from the Control Room.

A Control Room registration key is generated as AutomationAnywhereBotAgent.msi for Windows and AutomationAnywhereBotAgent.pkg for macOS based devices. For information on generating and downloading the registration key, see Generate Control Room registration key.

After you have downloaded the latest Bot Agent installer file specific to your device (windows or macOS) from Control Room, you can use it with an autoregistration.properties file for bulk installation of Bot Agent.

Installing Bot Agent on Windows

After you have downloaded the latest AutomationAnywhereBotAgent.msi file from Control Room, you can choose one of the following approaches to install the Bot Agent:

After you have downloaded the latest AutomationAnywhereBotAgent.pkg file from Control Room, you can use it with autoregistration.properties file for bulk installation of Bot Agent. See Generate autoregistration.properties file in macOS.
