Connect and Disconnect actions in the Apple Mail package

Use the Connect action to establish an email connection to the email servers configured on the Apple Mail desktop application for automating email-related tasks. Similarly, use the Disconnect action to terminate the session after the tasks are completed.

Connect

While establishing the connection, specify the details and enter a unique session name. Use this session name for all corresponding actions.

  • In the Email address field, select either the List or Variable option.
    • List: to select a specified email address from a list of email addresses that are added to your Apple Mail.
    • Variable: to specify the email address you want to connect to.
Note: Ensure that the email addresses you provide have access to your Apple Mail profile.
  • In the Create session field, use one of the following tabs for creating a session:
    • Local session: to specify a session name that can be used only in the current bot.
    • Global session: to specify a session name that can be used across multiple bots, such as parent bots, child bots, and all other child bots of the parent bot.

Recommendation: The parent and child bots should have the same package version.

    • Variable: to specify a session variable.

Disconnect

Use this action to terminate an existing Apple Mail session.

In the Session name field, specify a session name.
Note: Use the same session that you used in the Connect action.
